Research Associate in Computational Neuroscience

We seek a computational neuroscientist to work on a project funded by the European Research Council. You will work alongside experimentalists to establish the contribution made by newly discovered inner retinal (melanopsin) photoreceptors to visual information in the mouse brain. Your role will be to contribute to experimental design and apparatus development and to provide statistical analysis and computational modelling of electrophysiological data.


You will have a PhD in Computational Neuroscience (or be about to hold having passed your viva) with strong computational skills and a history of working closely with experimental electrophysiologists. In return, we offer a project in a rapidly developing area of sensory biology, working with a dynamic and ambitious research group. The post will be available from May 2011 and will run for a period of up to 3 years.
